Tell us a little bit about yourself!
I'm Chandler, I'm a native Nashvillian but I have lived in LA for almost 6 years. I have been modeling full time with Wilhelmina since graduating high school, all though I will admit 2020 has been a challenge work wise, as it has been for everyone. I have 2 baby rescue kittens named Sushi and Nori. I cook and listen to way too many true crime podcasts to destress (counterintuitive perhaps, but it works for me).
What are 3 things you must do whenever you come back to Nashville?
Whenever I come back to Nashville, I become a couch potato and enjoy spending quality time at home with my family. I'm coming back for the week of Thanksgiving, and on the 'to do' list so far is dinner at the Loveless Cafe, a hike at Radnor Lake, and a nice stroll through Cheekwood which maybe isn't what the cool kids do anymore but hey, I might as well be a tourist now.
How do you compare living in LA to Nashville?
Nashville and LA differ in so many ways. What I notice the most are the people! Nashvillians are prime, top tier, all around the best of the best people (obviously) and when I came to LA for the first time, I was shocked at how differently some people act here. If I had a dollar for how many times I've been flipped the bird in traffic or stood in awkward silence while avoiding eye contact in my apartment building's elevator, I could've bought a house in Belle Meade by now.
What have been some of your favorite modeling jobs you’ve done so far in your career?
My favorite gigs are the ones that allow me to travel somewhere I've never been. My favorite places have been Iceland, the Amalfi Coast in Italy, Australia, and Wyoming. Wyoming was so unexpectedly fascinating and beautiful and in another life I would have a ranch out there.
What's next for you?
I am branching out to new things- currently working on a real estate license, and a dear friend and I just created a passion project called House Cat which will be up and running very soon! If you love animals (honestly who doesn't) please check out our nonprofit @housecatlabel on Instagram. We made a cute hat and are currently designing a sweater to sell and donate the proceeds to rescues that have been struggling to stay afloat due to COVID.
